Applicant Process

  • Designate a professional area of interest and upload your resume when you apply
  • Resumes will be sent to partner companies looking for individuals within the matching professional area indicated
  • If your resume qualifies for an available opportunity at a partner company the company will reach out to you directly
  • Upon hearing from a partner company, follow the specific job application process identified by the partner company if it is of interest to you
  • If chosen for the position, relocate to Central Arkansas
  • Receive the $5,000 company sign-on bonus after starting work
  • Receive a $5,000 retention bonus from the Little Rock Regional Chamber at your 1-year work anniversary

Applicant Eligibility Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • 18 years or older
  • Currently reside outside the state of Arkansas and have resided outside the state of Arkansas for at least 12 consecutive months prior to applying
  • Must move to Central Arkansas for a full-time position and be willing to stay for a minimum of one year
  • Purchase or rent a home/apartment as primary residence in Central Arkansas
  • Must apply for the campaign prior to accepting a job placement and relocating to Central Arkansas
  • Provide name, address and social security number to the Little Rock Regional Chamber to receive $5,000 retention bonus and 1099 for tax purposes
  • Must complete relocation survey after one year
  • Must participate in a Love Little Rock networking event

  • What is considered Central Arkansas?
    • A 50-to-60-mile radius of downtown Little Rock. Inclusive of, but not limited to, the following communities:
      • Pulaski County (Little Rock, North Little Rock, Jacksonville, Sherwood, Maumelle)
      • Saline County (Benton, Bryant)
      • Lonoke County (Cabot, Lonoke)
      • Jefferson County (Pine Bluff)
      • Faulkner County (Conway)
      • White County (Searcy)
      • Garland County (Hot Springs)
      • Clark County (Arkadelphia)
  • Is there a salary minimum for jobs to be eligible?
    • No
  • Are there incentive clawbacks?
    • There are not clawbacks to the $5,000 retention bonus received at one-year of employment.
    • Each individual partner company may have clawbacks to their sign-on bonus. Partner company may also offer a position not eligible for the sign-on bonus, in which case that position would not qualify for the second retention bonus. Those details would be specified as part of the hiring process and are solely between the applicant and the partner company.
  • Will incentives be paid in lump sums or installments?
    • Lump sums. One payment of a minimum of $5,000 from the company based upon their terms and a second $5,000 payment from the Chamber at your one-year work anniversary.
  • Are the incentives taxable?
    • The campaign incentive paid to recipients is income. No tax withholdings of any kind shall be made and recipients will receive an IRS Form 1099. It is the responsibility of recipients to report the income to the appropriate state and federal tax authorities and to pay any taxes due on such income.
  • How long must I live in Central Arkansas to receive the incentives?
    • Sign-on bonus will be paid per the employer terms
    • Chamber's retention $5,000 bonus will be paid at the applicant's one year work anniversary
  • If I'm an Arkansas resident outside of Central Arkansas am I eligible for this campaign?
    • No
  • Am I required to become a resident?
    • Yes
  • I was living outside Central Arkansas when I applied, but am now living in Little Rock, am I still eligible?
    • If you relocated to Little Rock on your own, without a job placement from a partner company, then you are no longer eligible for this incentive.
  • Must I accept a job with one of the partner companies? What if I have found employment with a company not on your list, am I eligible?
    • No. Employment with a partner company is a requirement to be eligible for the incentive.
  • Can both me and my spouse receive the incentive if we each accept positions and relocate?
    • Yes. Both individuals would need to apply to the campaign and each would need to be matched and accept a job placement.
  • Can I apply if I'm already interviewing for a position in Little Rock?
    • Yes, as long as the company is a partner company with the campaign, agrees to their portion of the incentive and you apply through the campaign website prior to accepting the position and relocating.
  • Is the Little Rock Regional Chamber selecting the applicants for jobs?
    • No. All resumes are shared with all partner companies with matching professional areas of interest. The individual companies review resumes and select candidates to reach out to for specific job applications.
  • If I switch jobs to a different company after nine months of working, am I still eligible for the $5,000 retention bonus?
    • No. You must work for the same partner company for one year. You may change positions within the same company, but you must be employed by the same partner company at your one-year work anniversary.
  • If I receive a job offer through this campaign, does it come with an employment contract for guaranteed employment up to the one-year work anniversary?
    • No. Arkansas is an employment-at-will state. If hired, the partner company employer may terminate employment at their will.

Terms & Conditions

  1. “Program Terms and Conditions” means the Program Terms and Incentive, Eligibility, Application and Applicant Process/FAQ sections of the campaign website, these “Other Program Terms and Conditions”, the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy on this website, the terms of the Program Contract, all policies and procedures published in any manner by the Little Rock Regional Chamber on this website or otherwise and any other terms and conditions imposed by the Little Rock Regional Chamber relating to the Program.
  2. By providing your contact information on this website and submitting your resume, you: (a) represent and warrant that (i) you have read, and agree to be bound by, the Program Terms and Conditions; (ii) you are eligible to apply for the Program, and (iii) all of the information provided as part of your application is accurate; (b) consent to the use of your name and/or likeness by the Little Rock Regional Chamber for promotional purposes (whether online, in print or through any other media now known or hereafter developed), without additional compensation or authorization unless prohibited by law; (c) agree to be bound by the interpretation of the Program Terms and Conditions made by the Little Rock Regional Chamber and all decisions made by the Little Rock Regional Chamber are final in all matters relating to the Program; (d) agree this is not an application for employment; (e) agree that submitting an application does not entitle you to any incentive or consideration whatsoever and that a Program Contract must be signed by you and the Little Rock Regional Chamber before any Program Incentive payments will be made; (f) agree that employment with a partner company is not guaranteed for any set duration and may be terminated by the partner company at will; and (g) agree to release and hold harmless the Little Rock Regional Chamber, its affiliates and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation or application in the Program or receipt or use of any incentive, including, but not limited to: (i) any technical errors that may prevent an applicant from submitting an entry; (ii) unauthorized human intervention in the Program; (iii) printing errors; (iv) lost, late, postage-due, misdirected, or undeliverable mail or email; (v) errors in the administration of the Program or the processing of applications; or (vi) injury, death, or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from participating in the application and selection process or being a Recipient in the Program.
  3. A Recipient's rights and obligations under the Program are not assignable, transferable or descendible by Recipient.
  4. The Program Incentive paid to Recipients is income. No tax withholdings of any kind shall be made, and Recipients will receive an IRS Form 1099. It is the responsibility of Recipients to report the income to the appropriate state and federal tax authorities and to pay any taxes due on such income.
  5. This program is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
  6. The Little Rock Regional Chamber shall not engage in prohibited discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, color, sex (including pregnancy, caregiving, gender identity and sexual orientation), religion, age, disability, veteran or military status, genetic information or any other prohibited discrimination based upon categories and/ or characteristics.
